Step #1 This search engine may feel more familiar because we use the basic Google.com to search just about anything nowadays. This works similar, but there are some distinct differences. First start off by clicking the button below or typing scholar.google.com in your browser.
Step #2 All you need to do once you get here, is search your topic with any other key words that will help you narrow your search. If you click on the little arrow the right of the search bar, you can refine your search similar to how the EbscoHOST advanced search option works.
Step #3 From here, you will have hundreds or thousands of sources to choose from. In the each source title, it will tell you the type of source (book, magazine, journal) and a brief description. On the bottom of each source, you can see, "Cited by..." The more times the article was cited to more reliable the source will tend to be.
Once you decide you want to use a source by reading it, you can click "Cite" at the bottom of the source, choose MLA, and copy and paste the source to your Work Cited Page.
